Roman Josi has overtaken "Blueline Buddies Program" founded by P.K. Subban
P.K. Subban, a current top two defender for the New Jersey Devils started early in his professional career to develop foundations to help different communities. Before his time in New Jersey P.K. has played three years with the organisation of the Nashville Predators. With his tremendous help the «Preds» have reached the Stanley Cup Final in 2017 where they lost to the defending champion Pittsburgh Penguins. Despite the success on ice P.K has started the «Blueline Buddies Program» which provided game tickets, dinner and meet and greet with the team to members of the Metro Nashville Police Department and a guest, as well as a representative from a local organization and an underprivileged youth. After his departure to the «Devils» the future of the program was unknown. Swiss-fella and team captain of the Preds Roman Josi has kept the progarm alive. Together with other players and members of the organisation they continued the Blueline Buddies Program to support the local community.
Good to know: Early this 2019-20 season the Devils and the Preds met each other for the first return of P.K. to Nashville at Bridgestone Arena. P.K. was welcomed with a standing ovation after he met with Roman Josi in the dressing room before the game. The Preds organisation will try to continue and grow the program once founded by a very generous athlete. Plus he is engaged to Ski-Legend Lindsey Vonn...
